Bio:
Boxcar was an off-shoot of The Edicates. When Larry Gates left the Edicates in  December of 1970, Dan Westbrock from the Dubonnets joined Tim, Glen, and Joe. When the band was still The Edicates, they frequently played with the Dubonnets at the Club Kno Place in Newark, and were impressed with Dan's guitar playing ability and high vocal range.

Tim and Glen were the only original members of The Edicates left, and in January of 1971 they decided to rename the group. With the help of Pat Kapson of Dynamic Entertainment (one of the largest entertainment agencies in Ohio), they decided on Boxcar. The group signed an exclusive contract with Dynamic and continued to play throughout Ohio, Indiana, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. Boxcar stayed together for two and a half years and kept the same personnel for the duration.

The band had excellent vocal capabilities, a very solid groove provided by Glen and Joe, and a heavy Hammond/Leslie edge ideal for Santana, Steppenwolf, and Procol Harum songs.  A lot of things were going on during this period in our country - it was a crazy time. The Viet Nam war, protest marches, free love, riots and drugs.  It was also a unique time to live, and a lucrative time to play live music. The band stayed extreemly busy, but the demands of being on the road while going to college became difficult to juggle, and for the entire band it soon took it's toll.

In July of 1972 Boxcar broke up and everyone went their own separate ways. Glen Cataline eventually became the drummer for "The Godz". Mike Finks played keyboard in the 1990's for an all cop band called "Hot Pursuit". Tim went on to form and play in other successful local bands such as: Circus, Skyline and The Works.
